What's the internet and how does it work

We can seee the internet as a series of stages that range from when we type an address in a browser to when the web page appears on our screens. This whole process can take less than a second.

1) Users can connect to the internet if they have a contract with an Internet service provider ( ISP )

2) A router is a device that lets us connect to the Internet. At this point, information starts to travel in the form of packets.

3) The next step in the information´s journey are the DNS. DNS servers simplify this task for us.

4) The packets of information follow the TCP/IP protocol.
Servers use HTTP `protocol to send and receive documents over the Internet.

5)  The DNS servers sends the request to the servers that hosts the web page we want to visit.

6) Finally, the packet reach our computer and are reassembled. The page is then displayed in our browser.
